What is Mensa

Mensa is the largest and oldest high IQ society in the world. It is a non-profit organization open to people who get a score within the upper 2% of the general population on a supervised IQ test.

Why would anyone like to take the Mensa test?

When you pass the test, you get an official certificate from Mensa which is valid for life, stating your IQ score and the level at which this score is: top 2%, top 1% of the population etc… as you can imagine this is something that many people would love to have.

Can you join by taking an online test?

No… then how do you qualify for Mensa?

Membership of Mensa is open to people who score 130 or higher on an approved intelligence test, one that has been properly supervised. This means that online tests are not valid.

There are national Mensas in over 100 countries and those living in countries without one, can join Mensa International. Due to the rules of Mensa, you can only take the test once or twice in your lifetime depending on the rules of your national Mensa. Given this limit, it is a good idea to get the best possible preparation to make sure you get your maximum score.
